GUYMASTER Release Notes for version 2.0.6 as of April 3, 2009 ------------------------------------- A problem was discovered in the calculation of the wind direction factor for flat structural components (Df) in the case of towers with 4 legs. The Df factor for the square tower cross section by mistake ended up using the same direction coefficients as would be used for a triangular tower cross section. Also, this Df factor for the triangular tower cross section was 0.85 instead of the required 0.8 for wind at 60º. This resulted, in some cases, in the incorrect calculation of the effective projected area (EPA) of latticed structures and consequent under estimation of wind loads on the mast itself. This error is corrected in the current release. We apologize for any inconvenience and difficulties that this error may have occasioned.
